Step-By-Step on How To Launch a Product on Amazon
If you are just now getting into Amazon FBA selling, it can be pretty nerve-wracking to launch your first product, especially if you are going at it with no experience and no help along the way. In this video
, Project Nine University
explains some things and gives six steps to follow in order to have a successful first launch. Below is a brief explanation of the six steps and why they matter.
Step 1: Make Your Listing Top-Notch
When you make your listing, you will want to showcase the quality of your product at its fullest potential. You will have to make sure that your pictures are crisp, clear, and straightforward. Pictures with a white background are typically better. Including lifestyle pictures (pictures of your product in action) will also help. Make sure that all of your pictures follow Amazon’s guidelines. Double and triple check your keywords and optimize them as best you can. Also, include bullet points in your descriptions for easy reading and quick understanding.
Step 2: Get Initial Reviews
Before you launch your product, you will need at least ten good reviews. This way, your potential buyers can trust that your product will get the job done for them. And that they will be pleased with the quality. You can generate reviews by doing product giveaways. It seems like a painful thing to do, but it will be worth it after the launch.
Step 3: Turn on Your PPC
Pay Per Click costs money, but it is the most effective way to optimize your ad campaigns. As well as generate traffic. PPC is super helpful because it can ensure that the right people are buying your product. This seems like a no-brainer, but you would be surprised at the number of people who are disappointed with their traffic. Along with sales who do not turn on and optimize their PPC ad campaigns.
Step 4: Identify Your Giveaway Keywords
This can seem complicated but, the right people need to receive their free product in order to increase your chances of a good review. Think about it. If you go to a restaurant and order a hamburger, you are less likely to give a good review of the business if you receive fish sticks. It is that simple. When you identify keywords to cater to your niche consumer group, you can trust that they are actually looking for a product like the one you are offering.
Step 5: Choose Your Keywords Based on Your Advertising Budget
It is easy to get caught up in wanting the best of the best. If you have the money, go for it. The catch is that the more you spend on your keywords, the smaller your profit margins will be. Sometimes it is a better idea to spend less on multiple keywords that will cover a broad base of consumers. Than to spend more on one or two ‘big ones’. Stick to your budget and goals.
Step 6: Double-Check to Make Sure Your Listing Belongs
After you have put in the work and effort, you will need to look everything over to make sure that your listing fits amongst other listings of its kind. This is also a good time to go back through the steps to double-check all of the details.
